Michael is a senior HR executive with over 10 years’ experience in some of New Zealand’s largest organisations. He is one of the country’s top HR thinkers, and early in his career was recognised as New Zealand’s Young HR Practitioner of the Year in 2009/10 by HRINZ.
He’s held senior executive roles in a wide range of industries, most recently for Goodman Fielder and Fairfax Media.
Michael founded CompleteHR with the belief that HR solutions need to be commercial, pragmatic and practical to be effective. People are one of your largest costs so you need the right strategies in place to manage this.
Michael is a sought-after expert in HR strategy, transformation and change. He knows how to take a sub standard HR function and transform it into a high performing business partner.
Michael holds a Bachelor of Business from Massey University double majoring in Marketing and Human Resources. In his spare time, he loves spending time with his wife Rebecca and their children Bradley and Penelope.
Nick Roud - Recruitment Consultant

Nick is CompleteHR’s Recruitment Consultant, with over 10 years’ recruitment experience gained here in New Zealand. He has worked closely with many of New Zealand’s organisations and is well respected by both clients and candidates for his delivery and professionalism.
Nick joined CompleteHR in April 2017 and works closely with Michael on all Recruitment assignments.
He is married to Nicola and have a son called Louie. He has competed at the highest level of Rugby and is now into his endurance and Ironman events (time permitting)
